Agusti Borgunyo: String Quartets / Quartet Drago

Album Summary

>Borgunyo, Agusti : Quartet for Strings no 1
>Borgunyo, Agusti : Quartet for Strings no 2
Performers Ensemble Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Born in Spain, Borgunyo actually spent most of his life in the United States as a composer and orchestrator of light music, working for Alfred Wallenstein and the Orchestra of WOR, New York City. Borgunyo may have lived well into the 20th century, but his delightful Quartets are beholden to the Romantic traditions of Brahms and Richard Strauss.
