Notes & Reviews:

The tribute to cantata Aeolus Pacified was probably first performed in 1725 in the open air for Dr. August Friedbirch Mueller, a professor at Leipzig University, as a gesture by his students to this extremely popular teacher. Let Our Mouth Be Full of Laughter, BWV110, is another tribute: composed for the first day of Christmas, it is a glorious paean to the birth of Jesus Christ.
