Notes & Reviews:

Guy Bovet is not only a world-renowned organist but a true explorer of the history and nature of the instrument. Both of these recordings reveal various aspects of the pipe organ in Switzerland. The first CD covers not only church organs but small instruments that were constructed for home use. Many of them are no longer in the best condition and their preservation on this disc is particularly important. The second disc showcases the work of, respectively, Aloys Mooser, famous for the Fribourg Cathedral Organ, and the Tschanun firm, whose organ in the Geneva church retains its beautiful Romantic sound despite many renovations.
