Album Summary
Performers
Paula Peace (Piano)
Adam Frey (Euphonium)
Frederic Mills (Trumpet)
Notes & Reviews:
As a solo instrument the euphonium has never achieved the success of its other family members, especially the trumpet and trombone. With his virtuoso talent, sensitive lyricism and connection with audiences, Adam Frey is on a mission to bring the euphonium into the spotlight. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Frey has had more than 60 works composed or specifically arranged for him. The first of these two recordings feature virtuoso arrangements of some familiar material (and an imaginative new work by Allen Feinstein), and the second richly enhances the solo repertoire with many recent works in a rich diversity of styles.
