Fred Orm has played with the Chicago, Cleveland and Detroit Orchestras. Martin Katz is renowned as a major accompanist and teacher. Julia Broxholm is highly regarded for her chamber work and recitals. Together they perform works that are now modern classics of the genre. In a way, the Rorem and Argento works are contemporary counterparts of the kind of chamber-lieder settings done by Schubert and Schumann.
