Notes & Reviews:

A pupil of Endre Gerler at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, Belgium, Jean-Claude Bouveresse quickly concentrated on chamber music, which has become his specialty. He has taught at the Ecole Nationale de Musique in Gennevilliers since 1981. A former member of "L'Ensemble Orchestra de Paris," he founded the Kammer Ensemble de Paris in 1987. With this group he has recorded the music of Beethoven, Brahms, Strauss and Wagner as well as more unusual fare by Nielsen, Harsanyi, Jaubert and Koechlin.
