Notes & Reviews:

When this organ was built by Harrison & Harrison of Durham, they used a great deal of material from an earlier instrument built in 1896 by Robert Hope-Jones. There were various tonal modifications in 1937, 1967 and 1972 , and in 1978 essential repair word was carried out by the Leeds firm of Wood, Woodsworth and Company, Ltd. In 1997 the organ was brought up to current standards by a restoration by Nicholson & Company of Worcester. Adrian Lucas is currently Master of Choristers at Worcester Cathedral, having previously held posts at St. John's College, Cambridge, Salisbury, Norwich and Portsmouth Cathedrals before arriving at Worcester in 1996.
