Notes & Reviews:

Born in Milwaukee, Ralph Votapek began his musical education at nine when he enrolled in the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. He also attended the Manhattan School of Music and Juilliard under Rosina Lhevinne and Robert Goldsand. He had won the Naumburg Award and was a Gold Medalist in the first Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. This delightful disc shows Mr. Votapek's wonderful spontaneity and feeling for this timeless music.
