Notes & Reviews:

1840 was a very significant year in the life of Robert Schumann. He married Clara Wieck and wrote 138 exquisite songs, including the song cycles 'Liederkreis' and 'Frauen-Liebe und Leben' included on this CD. Sharon Rostorf-Zamir is one of Israel's most accomplished artists. At the age of 24, she was already a principal soloist with the Frankfurt Opera House, where she stayed for five seasons. She has starred regularly at the Israel Opera House, where her roles included Norina, Olympia, Pamina, Cleopatra and many more. In 2002, the Israeli critics voted her "Opera Singer of the Year."
