Album Summary
Performer
Dietrich Henschel (Baritone)
Notes & Reviews:
This is the second release in a series of projects between the LSO and Nimbus Records. It is unlikely that Schreker, Burger, or Krenek would have wanted to be remembered for such early works, but each of these well-crafted and richly expressive pieces stands very ably on its own, quite apart from any consideration of its composer's subsequent evolution. John Axelrod has established his profile as one of today's leading young conductors and is sought after by orchestras throughout the world. Booklet notes are in German, French, and English.
