- Kirsten Flagstad (Soprano)
Notes & Reviews:
In one of her latest concerts, Kirsten Flagstad performed her most important character outside the Wagnerian repertoire: Alceste by Gluck, a part that the great soprano recorded for Decca at the end of her career. In this Danish concert, Flagstad sings an approximately thirty minute selection of the Opera by Gluck. Very important also are three out of the four Lieder by Strauss, in which Flagstad had been the reference performer since their composition. The concert lasts 73’.
