Notes & Reviews:

'The American Virtuoso' is the third Orange Mountain Music release by pianist Paul Barnes. This latest recital of music by American composers features the first recording of Barnes' own transcription of the Philip Glass 'Piano Concerto No. 2'. Praised by the New York Times for his "Lisztian thunder and deft fluidity" and described as "ferociously virtuosic" by the San Francisco Chronicle, Paul Barnes has electrified audiences with his intensely expressive playing. The Boston Globe praised his interpretation of the Glass Concerto as a "strong and sympathetic performance."
