Notes & Reviews:

'Act' is the Ondine premiere of works by Norwegian composer Rolf Wallin, a figure of increasingly international renown who celebrated his 50th birthday in 2007. Three works by this leading Scandinavian composer are featured in world premiere recordings by one of Scandinavia’s best orchestras. The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra performs under the baton of three leading conductors – it’s music director Jukka-Pekka Saraste, Jaap van Zweden (music director designate of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra) and John Axelrod. 'Das war schon!' features young Austrian percussion star Martin Grubinger, recipient of the "Bernstein Award" at the 2007 Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. Performing 'Tides' is the Swedish Kroumata percussion ensemble.
