Notes & Reviews:

Born in Tokyo, Keiko Toyama had the good fortune, at an early age, to be heard by Alfred Cortot on a visit to Japan. He invited her to France where she studied at L'Ecole Normale Superieure de Musique de Paris where she immersed herself in the music she performs here. Since her debut in 1963, she has performed mainly in Europe and the United States, performing under Charles Munch and with other artists such as Carlo Zecchi, Sandor Vegh and Maurice Gendron. In her home country she is renowned for her Debussy and Mozart chamber concerts, and to this day is still regarded as one of the most important among the coterie of Alfred Cortot's artists.
