Notes & Reviews:

Kurt Sanderling is the last great conductor of his generation, and his 95th birthday provides the occasion to present three important recordings in remastered versions and issue them in this special edition. Sanderling's personal relationship to the works of Bruckner, Mahler and Shostakovich presented here is described in the detailed booklet, whose author Dirk Stove recently had the opportunity to conduct intensive discussions with the conductor. Those conversations form the basis of his highly informative interview essay.
