Guido Schiefen took courses under Maurice Gendron and Siegfried Palm, and received a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. In 19910 he was a prizewinner at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and was a recipient of the patronage award from the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen in 1993. Olaf Dresler studied with Prof. Webersinke in Dresden and with Rudolf Kehrere and Ludwig Hoffmann. Numerous successes and prizes have marked his career, among them the first prize at the "Maria Canals Competition" in Barcelona, the first prize of the "Finale Ligure," and a special award at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
