Cellist Richard Sher has appeared in major concert halls across Europe and in New York in both recital and concerto appearances. He was a scholarship student with Leonard Rose and Channing Robbins at the Juilliard School, and won major prizes at Merriweather Post, Hudson Valley, Washington, D.C. and Dallas International Competitions. At age 18 he became the youngest cellist ever to join the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the following year became the youngest Principal Cellist ever of the St. Louis Symphony.
