The cellist Viktor Uzur has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, Asia and North America. His performances, interviews and compositions have been broadcast on national television and radio stations in the former Yugoslavia, Russia and the United States. He is professor of cello at Weber State University in Utah. He was the first prize winner at the National Solo Competition in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia in 1989. He began studying cello at the age of 12 in Yugoslavia and received his degrees from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow. He received his doctorate from Michigan State University.
