Notes & Reviews:

A concert program of works such as these featured on this recording was familiar fare in the Beecham years. The Boccherini and Gretry come from performances at Usher Hall, Edinburgh Festival from August of 1956, while the Liszt, Franck and Elgar were performed at a St. Cecilia's Day concert on November 22, 1954.
