Notes & Reviews:

The great Ezio Pinza never learned to read music. He was the leading bass of his time, performing at the Metropolitan Opera from 1926 to 1948. After leaving the operatic stage, he changed genre, appearing on Broadway in musicals like 'South Pacific' and 'Tonight We Sing'. This fifth volume from Preiser of Pinza's art concentrates on his recordings of favorite songs from the musicals he sang.
