Even You and IAlbum Reviews:
JazzTimes (p.98) - "Johnson demonstrates her dexterity with a mixed bag of standards, extending from a stunning, languorous ramble through 'The Sweetest Sounds'...to a lilting 'Be Careful, It's My Heart'..."

Kelley Johnson, who possesses a voice rich with blues-inspired longing, has superb diction and a distinctive vibrato--no wonder she can count Wynton Marsalis as an advocate. Johnson's crew on HOME also provides exemplary support. With ace pianist Geoffrey Keezer and Freddie Hubbard-like trumpeter Ingrid Jensen on board, how could it be otherwise? Another selling point is the selection of tunes, as there's a refreshing mix of classy evergreens ("Moon River") and Johnson originals (the words to the title song), as opposed to done-to-death standards. Most importantly, Johnson has her own sense of swing, as have all the great jazz singers before her.
