Notes & Reviews:

This recording of songs in memory of John Goss, who was an influential British singer, scholar and bon vivant, draws from Goss's publications and interests. Goss was adored by contemporary composers of his time (1891-1953); was responsible for the revival of the British Ballad in the 1920s; and along with Peter Warlock was responsible for the revival of the English Jacobean and Elizabethan lute song repertoire.
