Album Summary
Performer
Olga Martynova (Harpsichord)
Notes & Reviews:
Presented in this recording are very different types of baroque transcriptions. They are all for the harpsichord: Geminiani's works were originally written as violin sonatas; Weiss wrote for the lute; and Bach's rearranged Reinkens' Trio Sonata. Olga Martynova is one of Russia's most distinguished harpsichordists. She studied at the Moscow Conservatoire and completed her education in France, graduating from L'Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bobigny with a gold medal.
