Each piece tells its own story.” Ms. Silverman holds a BA from Barnard College, an AM from Harvard and a DMA from Columbia. She is the recipient of many awards and commissions and her music has been performed by the Baltimore Symphony and the Brooklyn Philharmonic among many other orchestras and chamber ensembles.
