Notes & Reviews:

This recording encompasses a broad cross-section of the Russian romantic idiom ranging from the strict contrapuntal genius of Taneyev to the irresistible lushness of Blumenfeld and Rachmaninov to the equally vital element of mysticism personified by Scriabin. Nicholas Roth is one of the three 1993 Beethoven Fellows of the American Pianists Association. He studied at Indiana University where he received his bachelor and master's degrees as well as a performer's.
