Notes & Reviews:

This release of works for oboe by J.S. Bach are performed by the distinguished Russian oboist, Alexei Utkin, who is also founder of the Hermitage Chamber Orchestra. An extraordinary soloist, Utkin is a musicologist as well who has successfully transcribed many baroque works for oboe, as evident by some of the works on this recording. These historically accurate performances are enhanced with surround sound recording.
