Album Summary
Conductor Ensemble ComposerNotes & Reviews:
Hermann Bischoff is indeed a rare case. This highly gifted composer and pupil of Richard Strauss almost always reaped high praise from music critics and the press, but his oeuvre remained alarmingly small quantitatively. Two symphonies, two shorter orchestral pieces, one and a half operas, and a handful of songs were produced during this artist's life lasting a good sixty-eight years.
