Notes & Reviews:

California is Steve Kanoff's birth place. At the age of 14, he was the winner of the Young People's Concert Competition led by Leonard Bernstein. After having studied with the renowned American clarinetist Mitchell Lurie, Kanoff received a scholarship from the Institute of Advanced Musical Studies in Montreux. He also studied in London with Yona Ettlinger and obtained an Associateship from the Royal college of Music.
