Notes & Reviews:

Cellist Teet Jarvi graduated from the Tallinn Secondary School of Music as a student of Laine Leichter and from the State Conservatory of Tallinn as a student of Peeter Paemurru. In Moscow he had additional training with Natalia Sahhovskaja, Mihhail Homitser and Ivan Monighetti. In 1974 Jarvi ranked first at the International Competition for Young Celiists in Czechoslovakia. Since 1993 Teet Jarvi has been working in Finland, where he plays in the Symphonic Orchestra of Lahti and in the FINEST string quartet and works as a teacher of cello at the Lahti University Conservatory of Music.
