Notes & Reviews:

Consortium Classicum founder, clarinetist Dieter Klocker, discovered the wind sextets if Franciszek Lessel in the archives of the Prague National Museum. Lessel was a contemporary of Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven and was also employed by the Hapsburg Empire. He was a student of Haydn's and was the old man's favorite pupil. He eventually moved to Poland where, during World War II, almost all of his manuscripts ended up getting destroyed. This is the first time that these works have been recorded.
