Beethoven: Symphony no 9 Op. 125, Leonore Overture no 3 Op. 72a / Busch, et al

Notes & Reviews:

This 1950 performance in Copenhagen of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is one of three broadcasts of the work issued by Guild, each performance being under the direction of a great conductor of the past (Busch, Furtwangler, Toscanini). The intention behind these releases is that the serious music lover has the opportunity to hear how three eminently great, but very different, conductors approached this monument of the orchestral repertoire.
