This is an interpretation of the Goldberg Variations, BWV988 for string trio and live electronics by Karlheinz Essl. Essl, born in Vienna, studied at the Vienna Musikhochschule and the University of Vienna. He is now professor of composition there. In addition to instrumental works and compositions with live electronics, Essl has also written realtime compositions, sound installations and music and space performances for specific places and internet projects.
