Notes & Reviews:

Alberto Ginastera had an evident predilection for the sound of the cello. In 1950 he heard the young cellist, Aurora Natola and as a result, composed a work for cello that he dedicated to her. Twenty years later, they met again and subsequently married. One of the great cellists of our time, Natola-Ginastera performs on the famous "Castelbarco" Stradivarius for these recordings.
