This recording features the chamber music of Welsh composer Hilary Tann who now lives in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. She holds degrees in composition from the University of Wales at Cardiff and Princeton University. She is on the faculty of Union College. Three influences inform her writing - from Wales, a love of nature and hymns; from the Adirondacks, a love of nature and folksong; and from Japan, a love of nature and the "landscaped line."
