Born in Fukuoka in 1940, Naoyuki Inoue studied at the Toho Gakuen School of Music before going to Germany where he studied at the Stuttgart National University of Music. He had an active concert career in Europe, Russia and Japan. Celebrated for his recordings of the complete piano works of Schonberg, Mr. Inoue died in 2003.
