Notes & Reviews:

Devy Erlih, born in Paris, is remembered as a violinist for connoisseurs - and this reissue of his noble, elegant account of Bach is welcome. Henri Merckel was generally regarded in pre-war France as the top violinist after Thibaud. Reinhold Barchet is a true heir of the German violin school after Adolf Busch.
