Album Notes

Katt Box is a groan-worthy title if there ever was one, but this three-disc round up of the wild comedian's early work is definitely worthwhile. First of all, It's Pimpin' Pimpin' was the only widely available CD at the time of the set's release, as both The Pimp Chronicles, Pt. 1 and American Hustle were only available in either the DVD or digital download format. Having portable versions of these hilarious early sets will please any Katt fan as will the physical product's tin box, which is built sturdily and with printing that's not easily scraped off. There's no new booklet and no extra disc of unheard material, just the three albums that set the standard for 21st century, over-the-top hood comedy. Besides, what else can you buy for the pimp that has everything? ~ David Jeffries
