This collection of lullabies and night songs celebrates the magical world of a happy, sleepy child. Both intended to lull a child to sleep, as well as celebrate the happiness of the day, this charming collection will please adults as well as children. Originally contained in a splendid collectible book with delectable illustrations by a relatively unknown, at the time, Maurice Sendak, this volume originally was released in the early 1960s. The American soprano Heidi Grant Murphy is one of the outstanding vocal talents of her generation. Since being named winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council, she has gone on to a stellar career now entering its 20th year. She has appeared with many of the world's finest opera companies and symphony orchestras, and has been privileged with most of the notable conductors.
