Album Notes

Romania, because of its location, has absorbed musical influences from many cultures. Gypsy, Greece, Turkey, and the heady, rhythm-charged modal music of the Balkan region--all have contributed to Romanian folk music. Performed by the Adrian Petrescu Band and recorded in August 2001 in Bucharest, this recording has been configured especially for high resolution 96 kHz/24-bit multi-channel DVD-Audio.
