Notes & Reviews:
Over 1,000 people of every age and denomination traveled to Lincoln Cathedral to record the best-loved Christmas Carols for Christmas Angels. The Cathedral Choir joined this massive body of singers, as well as contributing items of their own, all under the baton of Colin Walsh, the Cathedral Organist, and accompanied by organ, brass and percussion. The CD contains twenty-three pieces, introduced by Brahms organ music, closed by the Cathedral bells in rounds. Twelve standard carols, six rarer ones, intervened by organ solos. A large and glorious sound!
Notes & Reviews:Personnel: Simon Barwood (tenor); Chris Hughes (organ); Lee Townsend (bells).
