Notes & Reviews:

Zino Francescatti succeeded Jacques Thibaud in the second half of the 20th century as the French violinist par excellence. His suave refinement and elegant phrasing epitomized the best characteristics of French violin playing and his immaculate technique and brilliant tone secured his position among the great violinists of the century. These historic recordings date from 1947 through 1954.
