Notes & Reviews:

Gramophone Magazine
The Viola Concerto (1976) remains an astonishingly assured work from one then in his early twenties, not least in the subtle control of tension and textural ingenuity over its two sizeable movements, and many others ought to have followed in Walter Trampler's admirable stead. Concertante in moto perpetuo (1983) makes pointed and engaging play with minimalist traits, while the Fantasia for double orchestra (1984) is an imaginative take on the spatial concepts underlying several post-war masterpieces.
