Nyffenegger and Wyss are at the other end of the interpretive scale. There is a relaxed but positive character in their music-making that invites the ears to enjoy their enjoyment. This is positive Beethoven, seldom violent but lively and full of pleasant sounds. Cello and piano are beautifully balanced in sentiment as well. The sound of both instruments is rich and warm.
