Notes & Reviews:

Hungarian violinist Denes Zsigmondy studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest. His international career included performances with major orchestras around the world. He was on the faculty at the University of Washington and Boston University.

American Record Guide, November/December 2014
All of this music has been recorded by more famous violinists; Heifetz, Oistrakh, Grimiaux, and Zsigmondy's performances are not significantly different from each other. If you're not familiar with Zsigmondy and want to hear his style or want a tribute to his artistic career you should give this a try. The small orchestra accompanies Zsigmondy with some lightweight arrangements; the remaining selections are accompanied by an unnamed pianist. The sound is clear and detailed.
