Notes & Reviews:
Widely recognized as one of the most talented musical personalities of her generation, Amel Brahim-Djelloul is particularly appreciated for her rich color and sunny timbre. She made her stage debut in 2002 as Pamina in Mozart's 'The Magic Flute', and has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in the world, including Cite de la Musique in Paris, the Barbican in London, the Grand Theater of Geneva, the Grand Auditorium Madrid, and Lincoln Center in New York. Proud of her origins and anxious to defend them, she developed this program on the theme of 'The 1,001 Nights'. Her latest album offers a magnificent course of different styles of music from the golden age of Andalusian music.
