Notes & Reviews:
"There are a few details here that are not in the other recordings. The orchestration has been freshened up in keeping with the traditions of Mozart's time- trumpets and timpani have been added to the overture and three arias. Such additions were traditional in music dealing with marital themes and arias dealing with revenge and/or rage. Richard Lewis has also written a short cadenza for the famous soprano aria with horn obbligato 'Lungi fa te, mio bene'. All of the additions work well. A libretto in Italian, English, French, and German and helpful notes is included."-American Record GuideNotes & Reviews:
