Like Ernest Bloch before him, the Swiss-American composer and conductor Klaus Cornell (b.1932) lives and works in both Switzerland and the United States. Cornell has served as music director for a number of Swiss orchestras, while guest conducting worldwide and serving as a jury member for various international music competitions. His compositions include works in nearly every genre including two operas.
