Il est cinq heurs, Paris s'éveilleAlbum Remarks & Appraisals:
For many years, the chamber choir Les Cris de Paris, well known for its commitment to contemporary creation, had the habit of ending its shows with an "encore". Specially written by the arranger of the band and derived from songs that did not belong to the world of classical music, a brand new repertoire has been built over time: works by Madonna, Zappa, Bjork, Kylie Minogue, and Britney Spears... but also Brel and Gainsbourg. To celebrate its 10th birthday with a wink, Alpha has decided to get totally involved in this special adventure, scrambling the boundaries between what is classical, and what is not. This album has little in common with Alpha’s usual collections, so it has been packaged in a unique, festive circular metal box.
