In Toscanini's later years, when he was mainly serving the vast American radio audience, Toscanini programmed shorter and lighter pieces alongside the great symphonies and choral works. In the early days of LP, collections of these briefer works were issued and Opus Kura has drawn on the excellent HMV pressings for this anthology.
