Notes & Reviews:
Feldman’s "Trio" is a 1 hour, 45 minute work in one continuous movement, slowly and beautifully folding and unfolding itself through its long duration. This is the only readily available performance of the piece available in the U.S.A. It features superb sonics from the original 96khz, 24-bit recording, and a detailed essay on the work by Sabine Feisst. It is also available on surround-sound DVD with full video. Feldman insisted: "my pieces are not longthey seem to belong to the landscape of the time that I’m bringing.Would you say that the ‘Odyssey’ is too long?"
Feldman's 'Trio' is a 105-minute work in one continuous movement, slowly and beautifully folding and unfolding itself through its long duration. Both Aki Takahashi and Rohan de Saram (formely of the Arditti Quartet) worked closely with Feldman. Marc Sabat is among today's great Feldman interpreters, having recorded the complete violin music on Mode. This is the only readily available recording of the 'Trio' in the U.S.A. A DVD is also available.Notes & Reviews:
